<p>Believe it or not you can clean with condiments. Copper bottom pans can be cleaned easily with Heinz ketchup. The secret is to spread the ketchup on the bottom of the copper pan and let it sit for 30 minutes then wipe off.  Ketchup is naturally acidic and cleans copper without scratching the copper pan bottom. If you must use an abrasive try sprinkling a little salt on the area and lightly scrub.</p>
